2013 Provocative Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley
Our 2013 Provocative Sauvignon Blanc comes from a vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. It is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks and was bottled in January 2014.
This wonderful Sauvignon Blanc is medium bobied, crisp, dry, with citrus fruit nuances. Pairs well with fish, chicken, and zesty dishes, or enjoy as a lush aperitif.
2012 Provocative Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
This wonderful wine is a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and is blended with other varieties of grapes:
- 75% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 14% Merlot
- 6.6% Syrah
- 3% Petit Verdot
- 1.4% Malbec
- Splash of Cabernet Franc
The cabernet grapes come from our Monticello and Hardman Vineyards, as well as other vineyards in Rutherford, Oakville and St. Helena. The merlot grapes are from our deep clay soil Hardman Vineyard, and another vineyard in St. Helena. The Syrah grapes come from the Carneros area of Napa Valley.

This delicious wine has aromas rich in fruit, is smooth, balanced, juicy, with hints of oak, soft tannins, and a medium finish.
2012 Provocative Chardonnay Sonoma Valley
This 100% Chardonnay wine is from the Sonoma Valley. With its cooler climate, the conditions are ideal for Chardonnay.
The grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks. Fifty percent of the wine was aged in French Oak barrels, and the other fifty perfect of the wine was aged in small stainless steel barrels. Both of the wines were then blended together.
This classic Chardonnay is medium bodied, crisp, with great fruit character, and light oak nuances.

Provocative Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
This delicious wine is a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon blended with other varieties of grapes. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from our Kreuse Canyon Hillside Vineyard. The Merlot grapes are from our Hardman Vineyard near Silverado County Club, and the Petit Verdot is grown on our Monticello Vineyard. The Syrah comes from the Carneros region.
2011 Provocative Cabernet – American Fine Wines Score Double Gold
With dark ruby red colors and a hint of purple at the rim, the bouquet is brimming with sweet cherry and milk chocolate, as well as caramel and cinnamon in the background. There are also hints of currant and sandalwood. The entry is smooth and balanced with medium body and flavors echoing the bouquet. The evolution is seamless with fine-grain tannins and ample acidity. The finish is very pleasing with a good length and balance.

Ahnfeldt Provocative Chardonnay
Our Provocative Chardonnay is from the St. James Vineyard in the Carneros area of Napa Valley. This vineyard features the Wente clone which produces a low yield, and bright fruit.
The wine was barrel fermented and aged in French Oak, and was bottled in April 2011.
Soft and rich, this Chardonnay shows layers of fruit, a bit of acid, elegance, with subtle oak touches.
